Rebeca Alderete Baca is a poet, editor, technical writer and translator from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She creates compilations. Compilations glue together found pieces—words, tiktoks, etc—to create a feeling.
Rebeca is the author of Not It (Risolana 2025) and the English translator of Natasha Tiniaco’s Contra el régimen de lo fluido/Against the Regime of the Fluent (Ugly Duckling Presse 2024), part of UDP’s Señal chapbook series for contemporary Latin American poetry in translation.
She was a 2019 Dreamyard Rad(ical) Consortium Fellow. She was the Program Coordinator of CantoMundo, a national organization for Latinx poets from 2017-2019.
Together with mallika singh, she created OOZE, an event series that celebrates food, ritual and poetry.
